'Licherie': A Sweet Tradition

Sucrerie Chiasson offers their popular ‘licheries’ in season.

‘Licherie’, or sugar tasting, is a regional tradition which consists of dipping a long wooden sticks into boiling maple syrup and then scraping it off with a smaller stick. We then lick the little stick (‘licher’ in French), that’s why it’s called ‘licherie’.

Maple taffy on ice is also offered.

For those who want it, drinks and chips are also available.

Ask about the possibility of a group booking.
